High temperature furnace

Refractories for High temperature furnace

Industrial kilns are mainly divided into glass kilns, cement kilns, coke ovens and ceramic kilns, so what are the refractory materials needed for these kilns?

First, refractory materials for glass kiln with chemical erosion, mechanical scouring, temperature fluctuations and high temperature, etc., the choice of kiln materials are mainly the following

series:

  1. 1.Al2O3-SiO2 series; mainly including clay bricks and silica bricks.
  2. 2.Al2O3-ZrO2-SiO2 series; mainly including zircon bricks and electrofused zirconia corundum bricks.

3.ZrO2-SiO2 series;

4.MgO-Al2O3、MgO-Cr2O3、MgO-Sioz series;

  1. 5.Heat-insulating materials

Second, refractories for cement kiln, mainly the following categories:

  1. 1.alkaline refractories; the main varieties are: magnesium-chromium bricks, magnesium bricks, spinel bricks, dolomite bricks and so on. Magnesium-chromium brick and divided into ordinary magnesium-chromium brick, direct combination of magnesium-chromium brick, semi-direct combination of magnesium-chromium brick.
  2. 2.aluminium-silicon refractories; in addition to general clay brick, high alumina brick is mainly wear-resistant, alkali resistance, resistance to temperature changes, and now has developed special high alumina bricks, such as phosphate bonded high alumina bricks, abrasion-resistant bricks, anti-flaking high alumina bricks and alkali semi-acidic clay bricks and so on.
  3. 3.thermal insulation refractories; mainly including silicate cover and lightweight thermal insulation bricks.
  4. 4.castables: mainly high-strength and high-alkali castables, anti-skinning castables, low cement refractory castables, kiln mouth special castables, coal injection pipe castables, three air ducts special castables and wear-resistant castables and so on.

Third, ceramic kiln castables: kiln wall materials require high temperature resistance, the selected refractory material type is determined by the temperature of the product baking.

  1. 1.below 1300 ℃ below the use of clay refractory bricks;
  2. 2.in 1300 ~ 1400 ℃ using high alumina bricks;
  3. 3.in 1400 ~ 1500 ℃ using silicon bricks;
  4. 4.in 1500 ~ 1600 ℃ using magnesium aluminium bricks;

5.in 1600 ~ 1800 ℃, the use of corundum bricks.

Fourth, the coke oven refractories

1.carbonisation chamber with refractory materials: most of the previous selection of clay bricks, and now tends to use high-quality high alumina bricks, silica bricks and ruby bricks masonry.

2.Combustion chamber with refractory materials: combustion chamber and carbonisation room share the furnace wall, the same brick with the carbonisation room.

3.Fireplace top refractory material; the top of the furnace loading hole around the temperature fluctuation, with clay brick masonry, other parts of the silica brick masonry.

4.the ramp with refractory materials: ramp will be connected to the combustion chamber and heat storage room, the brick structure is required to be stable, able to resist thermal stress. Small coke oven with clay refractory bricks, large and medium-sized coke ovens use silicon brick masonry.

5.heat storage room with refractory materials: small coke oven storage of single wall, partition wall, bottom and lattice brick masonry are used clay brick masonry, large and medium-sized coke oven heat storage room in the upper masonry, all using silicon brick masonry, in order to make the coke oven as a whole can be uniformly expanding heat chamber.

6.small flue with refractory materials. Small flue is located at the bottom of the heat storage room and the flue connected. Small flue all with clay brick masonry lining.

Fifth. Roller conveyor and kiln furniture

At present, the roller conveyor is mostly made of silicon carbide, including reactive sintered silicon carbide and silicon carbide combined with silicon nitride materials, kiln materials: mullite, quartz, alumina, graphite and so on.

The above is about the refractory materials used in industrial kilns, masonry kilns not only with a refractory material, is a variety of refractory materials together.
