Corundum-mullite plates are ceramic plates fabricated using the combination of corundum (Aluminum oxide, Al2O3) and mullite (Aluminum silicate, Al6Si2O13). Both materials possess superior thermal and chemical resistance properties. Corundum mullite plates are widely utilized across industries including ceramics, metallurgy and high temperature applications. Their strength makes them suitable to withstand extreme temperatures while providing a secure surface for various processes. These plates boast exceptional thermal stability and can withstand temperatures as high as 1700degC (3092degF). As such, they’re often used as kiln furniture, furnace linings or as processing surfaces in high temperature environments.
